IdiomsMadeEasy ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide the app's features:

• Device token — a unique identifier for your device used to deliver push notifications and track your learning progress (idioms viewed, streak count).
• Notification preferences — your chosen notification time and timezone, stored to deliver daily idiom reminders at your preferred hour.
• Idioms viewed — which idioms you have seen, stored to calculate your streak and total learned count. This data is linked to your device token, not to any personal identity.
• Weekly test results — your quiz scores, stored per device to prevent duplicate submissions.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver daily idiom notifications at your chosen time
• To display your learning streak and progress within the app
• To generate your weekly quiz from idioms you have seen
• To improve app reliability via anonymised usage metrics (request counts, error rates)

3. Advertising

IdiomsMadeEasy displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising on iOS).

We request non-personalised ads by default. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Google AdMob — for ad delivery (see Section 3)
• Expo / Apple / Google — for delivering push notifications through their platforms
• As required by law — if compelled by a valid legal process

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers hosted by Google Cloud (us-central1 region) and Supabase (PostgreSQL database). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Device tokens and preferences are retained until you unregister from notifications or delete the app.

6. Children's Privacy

IdiomsMadeEasy is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Choices

• Notifications: You can disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings tab or in your device's notification settings.
• Data deletion: To delete all data associated with your device, contact us at the address below. We will remove your device token and all associated records within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
